CCA needs your help for Haiti- 4 Ways to HELP

The Office of Student Life, in conjunction with Student Government and Phi Theta Kappa will be supporting the Worlds efforts in Haitian Relief. Please participate in one or in all of the below opportunities. Any donation amount or item accepted.

1. January 28th-February 4th, 2010- Cash/Check/CC Donations: (Make Checks payable to Community College of Aurora-SGA, Donations will be accepted in the Office of Student Life- CTC: S101.

“Shelter Boxes” Shelter boxes costs $1,000 each and are fully self contained units can contain one ten-person tent, vinyl insulated sleeping mats and blankets, water purification kits, trenching shovels, rope, multi fueled cook stove, etc. To date, they have delivered more than 3,300 shelter boxes which can help up to 33,000 people.

3. January 28th-February 4th, 2010, Project Cure: Help for Haiti: List of Suggested Donations

It is estimated that as many as three million people may have been affected by the

quake, and the death toll may reach into the tens of thousands. Haitians, most of whom

already live on less than $2 a day, are now contending with recovery from the strongest

earthquake the region has seen in more than 200 years.

PROJECT C.U.R.E. is accepting donations of first aid and hygiene supplies (list below) to help with preparation

for deliveries of medical relief to Haiti following the record-magnitude earthquake.

• Disinfectants / antibacterial solutions (peroxide)

• Hand sanitizer

• Masks

• Sterile gloves

• Bandages

• Wraps/rolled bandages

• Gauze and dressings

• Tape

• Antibiotic ointment (Neosporin)

• Analgesics (Tylenol, aspirin, Advil)

• Infant rehydration (Pedialyte)

• Feminine hygiene supplies

• Adhesive bandages (Band-Aids)
