The Nuclear Age Peace Foundation is proud to announce the third annual Swackhamer video contest. Last year, 120 applicants created short videos on the topic of Nuclear Disarmament.
In addition to cash prizes of $1,750, the winning videos will be shown at the 2010 Non-Proliferation Treaty Conference at the United Nations in New York. This is an excellent opportunity for students to display their abilities to thousands of professionals worldwide. Finalists will be determined by a distinguished panel of judges based upon originality of ideas, analysis of subject matter and clarity of expression.
The 2010 Swackhamer video contest topic is:
Shortly after nuclear weapons were first invented, Albert Einstein stated: “The unleashed power of the atom has changed everything save our modes of thinking and we thus drift toward unparalleled catastrophe.”
1. In what ways does humanity have to change its “modes of thinking” in order to survive and come together?
2. How can we avert the catastrophe that Einstein foresaw?
Please see link below for a complete guideline of rules, regulations, and deadline. I hope that you will pass this on to anyone interested.
