The 5th Annual Northern Colorado Writers Conference happens March 26-27, 2010 at the Fort Collins Hilton with this year’s film-flavored theme: Pen! Paper! Action!

The event kicks off by rolling out the red carpet for a keynote address from award-winning writer and producer Stephen J. Cannell; best known for his hit television shows Rockford Files, 21 Jump Street and The A-Team as well as his Shane Scully mystery novels. The keynote will be open to the public for $10.

The grand finale for the conference will be a hilarious, writer-related improv show by a group from the Bovine Metropolis Theater.

The conference caters to writers of all levels and genres by offering 29 workshop choices, including “15 Elements of a Great Movie” and “Scenework: Writing the Robust Scene” by experienced screenwriting consultant and content creator Trai Cartwright. Plus there will be agent/editor pitch sessions, a bookstore and networking opportunities. Participants will walk away inspired and equipped with the tools needed to ensure writing success.

Conference fee includes a copy of Stephen Cannell’s new release, The Pallbearers, all meals, the Red-Carpet Gala on Friday evening, workshops, pitch sessions, and a preconference workshop on March 6. Visit http://www.northerncoloradowriters.com for more information.
