“Script to Screen Table Read”

Professional SAG and/or AFTRA actors will table read short scripts in development written by Advanced Production IV film students as part of their fourth year capstone films.

The “Script to Screen Table Read” begins this year’s Artist in Residence Program: a state-of-the-art model that allows advanced film students to work one-on-one with leading industry filmmakers through the five stages of production: development, pre-production, production, post production, marketing and distribution.

Slated thus far, we are pleased to announce Artist in Resident: Ramin Bahrani. Roger Ebert recently proclaimed Bahrani as “the director of the decade.” And Variety’s Top Ten Screenwriters to Watch and writer of Brooklyn’s Finest: Michel C Martin.

The “Script to Screen Table Read” will be presented on one special evening open for the Colorado film community to observe—allowing SAG and/or AFTRA to showcase their talent, and giving students an opportunity for script feedback and highlight open cast and crew positions.
