REGISTRATION: The registration fee for this contest is $50.00 per team, which includes 2 Tickets to the MockSide UFC Screening and Award Ceremony.
PHASE 2: YOUR PRODUCTION
THE "WRITE AROUND" FORMAT: THIS IS HOW IT'S WORKS:
At the designated time, the contest will officially begin. Registered Filmmakers (Contestants) will have 72 hours in which to make a short film between 6 and 8 minutes in length. The contestants must have their film shot, edited and handed in by the end of the designated time period according to submission requirements.
WHAT'S THE CHALLENGE?
When the contest clock begins, a script (short scene) will be posted on our CONTEST page at www.mocksides.com (downloadable PDF) and a copy will also be sent to the filmmakers. Every Contestant must incorporate that scene in their short-film, they must shoot the scene as it is written. The assigned script will have specific instructions the filmmaker must follow, however, there will be some room for interpretation and the contestant must build a story around that scene justifying all of the characters and events.
THE CHALLENGE BEGINS:
Thursday, January 27 at 7:00p.m. (Colorado Mountain Time) the contest clock officially begins.
THE CHALLENGE ENDS:
Sunday, January 30th at precisely 7:00p.m. (Colorado Mountain Time)
The contestants must have their completed film HANDED IN to the organizers at DS StudioWorks.
Any Contestant who is late will be disqualified.

Our panel of industry judges will then begin scoring each qualified film to narrow-down the top finalists (no more than 10). Regardless of who makes the final round, each filmmaker will receive their judging score via email.
PHASE 4
THE MOCKSIDES UFC SCREENING & AWARDS CERMONY:
The top finalists will have their work shown where the Winner will be announced. Sorry, no one get's tipped-off as to who the top finalists are. You just have to show up to find out.
WHEN:
Friday February 4th at 7:00pm
WHERE:
The BUG Theater, 3654 Navajo Street, Denver, CO 80211-3037 TICKETS: $10 at the door while seating lasts.
Regardless of who makes the finals, all qualified films will be posted for screening on our website after the contest, which has already begun to gain a national and international audience.
