Students say she expects excellence from all, treating everyone equally and with respect. One student observes, "Sandra's classrooms are an intellectual playground, where students are driven to examine not only the work of professionals, but that of their peers as well as their own." Another states that she pushes them to be high achievers "so we are ready for the pitfalls that await us in the film industry."
