The Colorado Film School is the only film school in the country that is sponsoring ICM (International Creative Management, Hollywood’s #2 Agency) internships in its regular course delivery.
Student’s in Sandra Gabrych’s Feature Film Analysis course are providing ICM with coverage of their in-house and unsolicited scripts, recommending agent reads. The CFS students in this course, required in the BFA program, and some select alumni are required to sign Non-Disclosure Agreements, and go through ICM’s HR processing.
As students research the scripts they are covering, many are finding that they have A-list directors attached. Select students who complete the course may be invited to become readers for ICM on a regular basis, providing script coverage that recommends agency attention to scripted projects.
CFS has also set up two summer internships for students at ICM, bumping a renowned Ivy League institution out of those spots.
CFS continues to build it’s “hands-on, industry-engaged” reputation in the wake of a December 2009 issue of (International Cinematographers Guild) ICG Magazine article profiling the top seven film schools in the US to watch beyond the most established institutions of USC, UCLA, NYU and Columbia. CFS was profiled along with such well-regarded programs as Florida State, San Diego State and Chapman Universities.
