14th Hollywood Film Fest is hailed as a "pre-Oscar showcase"

HOLLYWOOD
FILM FESTIVAL
Hollywood, California - USA
October 22 to 25, 2010

In the Spotlight this week is the HOLLYWOOD FILM FESTIVAL (HFF) celebrating its 14th anniversary and acknowledged as one of Hollywood's most exciting film events.Daily Variety recently hailed HFF as "the ultimate networking opportunity" for emerging filmmakers, and according to The Los Angeles Times, HFF has become "a pre-Oscar showcase."

The last six years has seen a total of 56 Oscar nominations and 18 Oscars given to either the films the Festival has showcased or to the honorees of HFF's companion event, the Hollywood Awards. Past HFF editions have seen finalists garner distribution with HBO, Miramax, IFC, 7th Art Releasing, Indican, and Starz, among others.

HFF occupies a unique position in the very heart of the film industry; therefore, it's much easier for visiting filmmakers to make contact with the agents and producer representatives who need to see their films. HFF makes the most of this by actively promoting the Festival and its films to the media as well as to Hollywood agencies. HFF also provides all of its selected filmmakers with VIP Passes, giving them access to premieres and screenings at the Festival, as well as the prestigious and star-studded Hollywood Awards Gala ceremony.
